Hogar Ganar Children’s Home
The focus of Serving Paraguay’s ministry efforts is Hogar GANAR, a children’s home campus located in Itaugua, Paraguay. Hogar GANAR is dedicated to the restoration and development of children that have been legally abandoned by their families.
While there are many institutions for neglected and orphaned children around the globe, Hogar GANAR is unique in that we strive for the children in our care to experience the transformational power of a loving, Christian family and community. At Hogar GANAR, there are ten houses located on forty acres, and Christian couples serve as parents in these homes, while ten children are placed in their full-time care. Currently, only three of our homes are occupied as we await the financial support necessary to serve even more children.

The Hogar GANAR campus also includes:
- Itaugua Christian School (Colegio Cristiano de Itaugua): an elementary and middle school dedicated to serving the children of Hogar GANAR as well as the surrounding community.
- Missionary Housing: lodging located on campus that allows us to host short-term mission teams as well as interns seeking 3/6/12 month service opportunities.
- Administrative Facilities: on-site counseling offices, as well as a medical and dental clinic that allow us to ensure the children are developing emotionally and physically.
- Vocational Opportunities: a fully equipped professional bakery, a working farm (with dairy cattle, pigs, fish ponds, chickens), and other agricultural endeavors (a garden, honey bee hives, and citrus groves) allow hands on vocational training that fits the cultural context.
- Recreational Facilities: a regulation soccer field, basketball/volleyball court, and playground provide ample opportunity for the children to play and develop.

Hogar GANAR receives children who have been abandoned, orphaned, or removed from their parents due to abuse or neglect. The children participate in worship services and a weekly discipleship program, memorize scripture, and enjoy daily devotions with their house parents. Each child attends our private school located on-site, and older children are able to participate in vocational training in our garden, bakery, or bee farm.
With our family model, Hogar GANAR feels far more like a neighborhood than an institution. The goal is that these children who were once overlooked by society will become the Christian leaders who transform the future of Paraguay.
Praying for His blessing to be on the works of your hands and travels of your feet. may the Lord bless the messages of your lips and the warmth of your healing hugs. I will be praying and fasting for His holy spirit to overcome the hearts of this generation. May these children be a generation that seeks HIM. In the name of our savior, Amen
